Global Village, a Dubai destination operator, will stage a 600-drone display and a five-day Diwali festival programme from November 6 to 10, 2026. The drone show is scheduled for November 8 at 8pm above the Stunt Arena and Syria Pavilion, according to a statement published by the operator on October 27.

Traditional Baithak musical gathering on November 6#

The programme will include Global Village's first Baithak, a traditional South Asian musical gathering, on November 6 from 8pm to 9pm at the Main Stage. The format is known for its seated setting and audience interaction with performers. On November 7, City FM will collaborate on interactive games with prizes for visitors. A Diwali Mela, organised with the India Pavilion, will bring traditional decorations, gifts, snacks and sweets to the Commercial Activation area.

Children's activities and themed food offerings#

The Kids Corner will offer diya colouring, rangoli making and face painting. Decorative lamp posts will be installed along World Avenue, and signage will provide photograph locations. Food offerings will include Indian dishes at restaurants such as Indian Chef and Grand Dhaba. The Indian Chaat Bazaar, a food street concept, will serve pani puri, chaat, pav bhaji, chole bhature, desi noodles and mithai.

Entry and ticketing arrangements#

The Global Village entry ticket includes access to the Diwali programming. Tickets are available through the destination's website, mobile application and ticket counters at the gates. The operator did not disclose the ticket price or expected visitor numbers for the five-day period. The programme runs from November 6 through November 10, with the drone display scheduled for the midpoint of the festival period on November 8.

Drone display formations and venue layout#

The 600-drone display will feature formations inspired by the festival of lights. The show will take place above the Stunt Arena and Syria Pavilion at 8pm on November 8. The operator stated that the display will be visible from multiple areas within the destination. World Avenue will carry decorative lamp posts and Happy Diwali signage throughout the five-day period. The Commercial Activation area will host the Diwali Mela in collaboration with the India Pavilion, offering traditional items and sweets.
